We had our first summer camp and it was a huge success! Twenty kids attended our camp to learn about how to build a website, program a Scratch maze game, program a Scratch ping-pong game, and program a Scratch Mario inspired game. Our summer camp was on June 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with an hour lunch in-between. We had teenage volunteers come in and help us manage the kids. However, our 615 Coders are the ones that taught this course to the students and explained it to them in a manner that was very easy to understand. Our coders were the best teachers and the kids had so much fun! We are grateful for MEDHOST, Inc. for lending us their meeting rooms to host this camp. Overall, there were many people involved to make this camp the best it could absolutely be. It was an incredible experience and we hope to do it again next year!
